Company Summary

3esi is an international software company providing software and professional services to the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry. We are entering a new phase of growth as we develop our global markets. As a result we require a Program Manager to manage multiple implementations of our solutions at our client sites.

Position Summary

This senior position’s primary role will focus on the successful management of major client programs. Ensure the delivery of Program deliverables and milestones while building and maintaining strong client relationships at the C level of Tier 1 and 2 Oil and Gas companies. Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to 3esi’s client base for their strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.

Responsible for applying PMI standard techniques and methods to the successful implementation of 3esi’s solutions and services to clients while directly interacting with the client stakeholders and 3esi technical resources to ensure quality of the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform the 3esi Program Manager duties utilizing the company’s program management methodology and best practices for the organization.
  • Engage in a process of continuous improvement in order to mature and improve practices that administers complex software and system development projects
  • Communicate and collaborate as needed in regards to Program deliverables including managing expectations, presenting and interfacing with stakeholders and sponsors. Effectively communicate and take direction from Executive Leadership and Program
  • Deliver key company initiatives on schedule, on budget, and to specification
  • Act as a mediator for major issues in accounts
  • Support Services team as mentor, leader and expert on product and procedures
  • Collaborate with VP Corporate Service on global staffing assignments and staff development
  • Select, initiate, and oversee internal projects to improve the efficiency of the services team
  • Resolve any issues using appropriate conflict resolution skills

Accountability and Authority

  • Signing authority for expenses for direct reports
  • Is accountable for ensuring project closure activities occur and are completed
  • Is accountable for ensuring project work does not proceed if not funded (i.e., over budget) without internal approval
  • Is accountable for providing monthly department progress report to executive

  • University Degree, preferably B.S. Degree in Engineering discipline or Business Degree
  • 10+ years professional experience as a Project Manager and 5+ years in a leadership role; Oil and gas industry or Software Project Management experience pertaining to familiarity with the upstream asset life cycle, would be considered an asset
  • PMI Project Manager Professional (PMP) Designation or equivalent, completed
  • MBA, or other advanced management training, desired
  • Previous experience with budgeting, well execution or program management processes will be beneficial
  • Complete working knowledge of Change Management and associated Best Practices
  • Full understanding of conceptual modeling, data requirements and data consolidation
  • Experience with business architecture and business process management methodologies
  • Valid passport required


  • Some travel can be expected, (20 to 30%) to support 3esi solution implementations
