Vice President, EMEA Operations

Position Summary:

Responsibility for 3esi-Enersight’s business for the entire Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Operation with an emphasis on Sales and Services.

The VP Operations is responsible for the management and efficient operation of all local offices within the EMEA region, including operations, product sales, product implementation services, and customer service. These are to be done in accordance with the 3esi-Enersight business objectives, corporate policies and processes. The successful candidate will develop new regional business, provide a superior level of customer relations, and promote the sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation. The role is responsible for achieving individual and regional sales goals through new business sales, referrals, and retention of account relationships. Additionally, they will provide leadership, training and supervision to regional managers and staff, and delegate daily operations to regional personnel. Finally, they are responsible for attaining established regional and corporate goals through active participation in sales management and corporate project management programs.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Development and execution of regional strategies for growth
  • Development and execution of approved regional operations plan
  • Development and execution of approved regional P&L
  • Development and execution of approved regional services activities in coordination with the EVP, Global Services
  • Management of all 3esi-Enersight’s subsidiaries and staff in the region
  • Stewardship of compliance with all regulatory and filing processes for all subsidiaries in the region
  • Represent regional customer needs and requests at 3esi-Enersight HQ corporate forums
  • Management of the regional sales team and the regional services team with accountability for regional KPIs including but not limited to booking targets and services revenue
  • Management of agents in the region
  • Meet or exceed annual revenue and customer satisfaction objectives
  • Ability to create, manage and close sales opportunities
  • Provide leadership to the sales team through:
    • Owning the Account Profile / Executive Briefing document for the regional team
    • Regular structured communication to the virtual account team via conference calls or formal emails, clearly outlining key projects, opportunities, issues, products transitions, pricing etc.
    • Set account strategy and formulate an account plan for all major accounts with clear objectives, actions, owners and sales targets
    • Effectively manage any global special deals to ensure that they are fully authorized without exception or ambiguity, and that they are accurately documented both internally and externally
  • Present, promote and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers

Key Competencies:

  • Experience in leading software sales teams and software deployment teams
  • Experience in managing a regional operation and successfully delivering a regional P&L
  • Complete working knowledge of the Upstream Oil & Gas industry, with an emphasis on planning and budgeting practices
  • Complete working knowledge of the software industry serving the Upstream Oil & Gas sector
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and retain skilled employees
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams

 Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years professional sales or operational experience with senior management experience in a pertinent executive or line management role
  • University Degree, preferably B.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science or Business
  • MBA, or other advanced management training, desired
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Experience with business architecture and business process management methodologies
  • Proficiency in English is required; Additional languages are a benefit

 Other:

  • Travel worldwide is an integral requirement (30- 50% of time)
  • This position will be based out of the 3esi-Enersight regional head office in Barcelona, Spain
