3esi-Enersight had the opportunity to contribute to this Accenture paper, Achieving high performance in unconventional operations, which examines what practices leading operators are implementing to differentiate and enhance their performance.
Integrated planning impact:
- 5-10% reduction in construction, drilling and completion costs
- 10-15% reduction in cycle time from well selection to production
The findings are based on a survey of operators active across multiple basins including those overseeing major producing assets including Eagle Ford Shale in southern Texas and an Australian coal seam gas operator. Input is gathered from conventional players, large independents and smaller independents – all with with a significant unconventional focus. Included in the research is an examination of Enersight field-level planning linked to drilling schedules.
